Events and Activities

To keep parents, students, faculty, staff and other friends of IHM informed about the school, IHM produces two publications. The Eagle Eye, a monthly newsletter from the PTO, and the Garrett Gazette, a bimonthly letter from Principal Wanda Garrett, are filled with news and features about the IHM community.

Admission Begins

Admissions enrollment portfolios are currently being accepted for IHM School for the 2007-08 school year. Contact Nancy Achter at the school at 887-2613 for application information or visit the school's website at www.ihm-school.com/admissions.

Calling All IHM Alumni

The year 2007 marks Immaculate Heart of Mary School's 60th anniversary and to help celebrate the milestone, the school is organizing a special alumni event. To get started, administrators are creating a comprehensive contact/mailing list of all past students.

IHM alumni are asked to email their name (including maiden name if married female), mailing address, phone numbers and email address to ihmalumni@yahoo.com. Anyone who knows of someone who is an alum, should ask him or her to do the same, and then ask him or her to contact other alumni to also email their contact information to ihmalumni@yahoo.com.

ALSO, we're starting to gather memorabilia from the past 60 years at IHM School. What we're looking for are old uniforms, books (i.e. yearbooks before 1995, classroom books, etc.) and PHOTOS (of you, your classmates, teachers, classrooms, the building/grounds, etc.).

If you have items to share, please send them to Debby Davis at IHM School, 605 Barbee Ave., High Point, NC, 27262. Clothing and books will be used to decorate the gym for the Alumni Cocktail Party Fri., Oct. 26. Alumni may reclaim items at the end of the party. Make sure you label them with your name. Photos will be scanned and returned to you immediately. Thank you!
